Leading European communications for Riot Games

This year we wore multiple hats for Riot. We coordinated the reveal event for Legends of Runeterra, helping Riot put the “s” in Games. We were also tasked with elevating the strength of the European League of Legends esports ecosystem. We helped to launch the UK’s first official regional league, the UKLC, as well as acting as the communications lead for the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), where we led agencies and managed finals in Rotterdam and Athens with over 100 accredited press.

In 2019 the biggest esports event of the year, the League of Legends World Championship, came back to Europe after four years. Swipe Right were the EU communications lead supporting Riot at each stage of the month long event, that saw over 200 media accredited for the Finals alone.

Global communications lead for FACEIT

Swipe Right has managed communications for all aspects of the FACEIT brand for over four years. We aim to drive awareness for each tournament including their flagship league the Esports Championship Series (ECS), the FACEIT Global Summit: PUBG Classic and the FACEIT Major. The Swipe Right team managed the entirety of the FACEIT Major press campaign, from the first reveal through to the Finals which saw over 100 media and influencers attend, from endemic press to nationals and broadcast.

FACEIT is also the world’s most active platform for competitive gaming and this year we helped announce the integration of Battalion 1944 and had the pleasure of helping unveil Minerva; the world’s first AI admin for esports, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud to tackle toxicity on the platform.

Communications lead for all Coffee Stain products

Makers of the iconic Goat Simulator. For over two years we have supported the team globally on all products, drafting messaging, conducting influencer and media audits, coordinating desk tours and working with first parties. We’ve gone hands on, managing demo stations and schedules for major shows (including Gamescom, PAX, Paris Games Week and PCGamer Weekender) and even hand making press kits!

We launched Satisfactory, one of the most celebrated indie games of 2019, into Early Access, and revealed two new projects at E3’s PC Gaming Show, Midnight Ghost Hunt and Songs of Conquest.

Launching Red Bull’s first esports documentary

We’ve worked with the Red Bull Gaming Sphere for over two years supporting all of their events, from grassroots Dota2 and Street Fighter tournaments to the Escape Room World Championship Finals. Our goal is to build national awareness of the space and visibility amongst the UK esports community.

This year we were entrusted with the launch of Red Bull’s first esports documentary, Against the Odds, created by the Emmy Award winning Red Bull Media House, this feature length film follows the epic underdog story of Red Bull OG . Alongside managing press we were tasked with devising the overall concept of the exclusive screening which included an art gallery, holographic press conference and immersive Dota 2 themed bar.

Global brand strategy and communications for Outright Games

The world’s leading global family entertainment publisher. Swipe Right looks after the entire brand and communications strategy for Outright Games who publish games from some of the biggest licensors in the world including Disney, Nickelodeon, Dreamworks, Universal, FOX, Cartoon Network and more.

This year we launched a series of releases for major franchises including How to Train your Dragon, Ice Age and Jumanji. We managed the global communications strategy for each title from press kit creation, influencer management and media attendance at film premieres to working alongside licensors and distributors.

Global mainstream communications for Team Vitality

The leading European esports team, home to more than 50 incredible athletes that play across ten different games including CS:GO, League of Legends and Rocket League. Swipe Right was brought on board to help the team grow an international presence and to specifically focus on mainstream media attention.

We helped Team Vitality reveal their partnership with adidas on their first esports sneaker, launch their first of its kind HQ, V.Hive and organise a press experience with Renault. In addition we secured speaking opportunities with leading sports conferences such as SportsPro and Leaders in Sport to ensure the team are identified as thought-leaders and to help educate the sports industry on the value of esports.
